Cinque Terre

The Cinque Terre is a grouping of five tiny villages on the hillsides of the Italian coast. The Mediterranean water dazzles and the sun warms. Our plan was to do a hike from the southern town up to the northern most town - where we were staying. Sadly all sections of this highly trafficked route were closed - except one.
We hiked that one section - up and down - from Canigli to Vernazzi. This was a gorgeous walk - and only lost the boys on the trail once. Thankfully there were enough English speakers that were able to tell us they had been spotted.

So if you can't do the whole Cinque Terre hike, you might as well go to the beach with everyone else.
Water, paddle board and lots of people on the free beach. Still fun to just hang.
Got a SMALL load of laundry in, in the world's smallest washer and hung it out our bedroom window on the line.

Off to Rome tomorrow.
