Disco! Disco!

This story starts in Paris, with the vendors walking around at night selling flashing, blinking things that can make a 6 year old boy desperately feel he needs.
After our boat ride that was included in our night bike tour, as we (the bike tour group) prepare to leave, a man walked up with a laser pointer that you could make into a sort of "disco" light. This man walked up, began showing off the flashing lights from the laser pointer, while saying "disco! Disco!" Over and over. It felt like he wasn't even trying to sell the toy, he just shined the light everywhere.
Anyway, we left him at the dock and went our ways. Then, in Venice, we encountered more dinkey-winks. There in Venice, we saw splat pig things, which vendors threw on a piece of cardboard, where they splat nearly completely flat, then go back to normal. There are also small twirly things the venders would shoot into the air using a rubber band. These would fall to the ground, spinning and blinking its tiny blue light. Also in Venice, there was another disco guy. Doing the same thing as the guy in Paris did. "Disco! Disco!"
Then we went to the cinque terre, where these venders disappeared, and then on to Rome, where, you guessed, there was a "Disco! Disco!" Guy going around at night. There were also venders selling the exact same things as the people in Venice.
